About
Pocket Lane started as a shared notes file between three friends who argued too much about which racing game had the best handling. We turned those arguments into something people could read, and the site grew from there. The idea has stayed simple: install a game, play it properly, then write down what we really think.
We focus on arcade and racing games because that's what we love most, but we don't stop there. Puzzles, RPGs, strategy, the odd card game — if it runs on a phone and holds our attention, it can land on the site. We care less about trends and more about whether a game is fun on the twentieth session, not just the first.
Every game we cover gets played by hand, not judged from a trailer. We note how the controls feel on a touchscreen, how battery-hungry it is, and whether it respects your time. If something annoys us, we say so.
We're a small, independent team. Nobody pays us to like a game, and we don't take games down because a studio got upset. That independence is the whole point.
