Skyward Relics

Skyward Relics sends you climbing and gliding between floating islands in search of old relics, and it's as much about atmosphere as it is about puzzles. The exploration is open but gently guided — you're never lost for long, but there's always a quiet corner tempting you off the path.

Puzzles revolve around manipulating wind currents and ancient mechanisms. They start simple and layer in complexity at a comfortable rate. The swipe-and-tap controls are intuitive, and the gliding sequences in particular feel wonderful on a phone.

The art and sound do a lot of heavy lifting here, and that's a compliment. It's a game you want to slow down and soak in. A lovely pick for a quiet evening.
